Our Hospital is facilitated with Lab, Blood Bank, X- ray which runs 24 hours to meet the emergency needs of the patients.

The root of St.Rock’s hospital originated in GH Venue at Karaikal from 1950 onwards doing good to all. For 22 years from 1950-1972 the sister stayed in Government hospital Premises, Karaikal and served the sick and needy of this region. But in the meantime as the hospital authorities wanted the quarters in which the Sister were staying, for repair and other purposes asked them to vacate.This situation made the sisters to look for place to start the dispensary elsewhere we bought a place from “Evariste desmma “at Puduthurai a remote village which had no health facilities no roads or transportation even mothers were having unsafe deliveries in the bullock Carts on their way to GH Karaikal. And already it was the requeste of the people to start a dispensary in their village. In 1971,15th July with humble begging the St.Rock’s Dispensary started mainly for focusing on leprosy patients as this disease was prevalent at that time. Slowly the dispensary started growing up on 15th August 1972 the maternity Block with 20 beds started as it was a arising urgent need of the health care.
As the time went on great improvement took place such as roads, telephone, electricity, water supply and mini bus facility which allowed people to build houses, shop and canteen which is now semi urban town. Also due to the advancement of medical science and the increasing needs of the people and havoc caused by the repeated natural calamities the old building had to be replace with few rooms, Inpatient and Outpatient Department with modern facility such as X-Ray,Scan,Lab,Pharmacy,operation theater with Post Operative Room. We grew up to a hospital from Dispensary in 2013 with increasing no of patients. With blessing of God and Health Ministry the dispensary which began with few beds progressed to a beautiful well furnished two storied building with lift and ramp facility in 2015 with 95 beds and we have setup advanced technology for patient care with latest medical facilities and team of Doctors, Nurses, Para medicals (around 100 of us) working towards the promotion of the health of the people irrespective of cost, creed and religion. In order to provide healthy, hygienic, nutritious food for the Patients we have stated a canteen in our hospital premises in 2020
